Paramarsh 2014 - M S University's largest non-technical and the most celebrated fest - ended on a high note with the famed band 'The Raghu Dixit Project' setting the stage on fire here on Sunday night.

VADODARA: Paramarsh 2014 - M S University's largest non-technical and the most celebrated fest - ended on a high note with the famed band 'The Raghu Dixit Project' setting the stage on fire here on Sunday night.
The band is known for its mesmerizing fusion of Indian folk music with styles from across the world. The reverberating music set the adrenaline flowing in over 20,000 students who witnessed the concert.
"During the concert, the band belted out its chartbusting numbers which included its most popular song 'Mysore se Aayee' along with 'Hey Bhagwaan', ' Antaragni', 'Mumbai' , ' Gudugudiya' and the title song of the Hindi film Bewakoofiyan," said Chinmay Shah, a student volunteer.

"The lead vocalist and founder Raghu Dixit is a self taught guitarist, singer, composer, songwriter and musician. His lyrics reflect the everyday emotions and experiences of a common man," said Shah.
As a part of his band, Dixit has performed in more than 250 concerts all over India. Dixit has also made his presence felt in international scene through his performances in the United States, the United Kingdom, Korea, Japan, Russia and Hong Kong.
In 2012, The Raghu Dixit Project performed for the Queen of England at a spectacular Diamond Jubilee Pageant marking 60 years of her accession to the throne.
Paramarsh 2014 also witnessed the finale of various competitions held on Friday and Saturday. The highlight of the finale saw the band - 'Avon of Darkness' from MSU's Faculty of Engineering and Technology winning 'Smokin Aces' -the rock band competition of Paramarsh, beating various bands from across the country on the last day of the fest.
