Vadodara: An eight-foot-long crocodile was rescued from a construction site near the busy Rajmahal Road on Tuesday night after it fell into a pit and was spotted by locals.
Volunteers from Wildlife Rescue Trust reached the spot and safely rescued the reptile before handing it over to the forest department.
A lake adjacent to the construction site is known to be a habitat for crocodiles. Residents of nearby colonies said the reptiles are often spotted in the waterbody, especially during the monsoon.
