Udaipur: The student who died in the Udaipur stabbing case was cremated on Tuesday morning amid tight security. The student was stabbed by his schoolmate following an altercation on Aug 16.
He died during treatment at MB Hospital on Monday afternoon. His mortal remains were handed over to the bereaved family around 4.30am on Tuesday. His body was taken in a procession in the evening and cremated at Udaipur’s Ashok Nagar crematorium.
A large crowd had joined the procession. The cremation was surveilled by drones, and there was a substantial police presence along the route. To maintain peace and order, the district administration declared a holiday for schools and colleges on Tuesday. tnn
