Jilted lover who killed rival and raped girl held

Udaipur: The city police here on Tuesday arrested two men and detained a minor on charges of murder of a man and kidnapping and rape of a minor girl. The murder and kidnapping took place on April 26 in Patiya village in Udaipur district. The minor girl was held hostage for three days and raped, said SP Udaipur Yogesh Goyal.
The SP said that Ashwin Garasia (26), a resident of Dungarpur, and his brother Balveer alias Praveen were arrested on charges of murder of Lokesh Balwada (22), a resident of Dungarpur, and kidnapping and rape of the minor girl.A minor boy who helped them has also been detained, the SP said.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that Ashwin was having an affair with the minor girl for about a year, but one day villagers saw them together at the minor’s house. This led to a controversy and on the advice of family members, the minor stopped meeting Ashwin.
Later, Ashwin learned that the minor was having an affair with Lokesh. Ashwin along with his brother and the minor boy conspired to kill Lokesh in front of the girl. They called Lokesh out on some pretext and kidnapped the girl from her house. Both were taken outside the village and Lokesh’s head was crushed with a heavy stone in front of the girl. Ashwin then brought the girl to his home in Dungarpur and raped her for three days there, the SP said.
