Fake bank a/cs: Pratapgarh cops detain accused at Mum airport
Udaipur: The Pratagarh police on Sunday detained the main accused wanted in a case related to opening of fake bank accounts of people by luring them into government schemes.
Pratapgarh SP Amit Kumar said the main accused Mrigank Mishra, a resident of Ratlam, was detained at Mumbai airport. The accused was hiding in Dubai and a lookout notice was issued against him.

He was presented in court and sent to remand till October 21. The accused was wanted by Pratapgarh police for allegedly opening fake accounts and using the money for betting.
Police had earlier arrested four accused in this case: Sanjay, Shubham, Rudraksh, all residents of Pratapgarh, and Aman Soni, resident of Ratlam. Police froze 68 accounts opened by these four. A suspicious amount of Rs 3.86 crore in these accounts was also kept on hold. It is speculated that transactions worth Rs 2000 crore have been carried out in these accounts. More than 20 debit and credit cards were also recovered from the four accused.
The SP informed that the victims of this fraud lodged complaint with the Pratapgarh police when the bank employees intimated them about suspicious transactions which the victims were not aware of. Investigations revealed that these transactions were done for IPL betting and other suspicious activities.
The SP said that information regarding this case was also provided to the Enforcement Directorate earlier. Mrigank Mishra, who also operates the Mahadev online app, was carrying out betting activities from Dubai with the help of his aides in India. A special team was formed to nab him at Mumbai airport.
