Man held for selling drugs to minors

Trichy: Police arrested a youth on Friday for selling drugs to minor boys in Sengulam Colony area. Acting on a complaint from village administrative officer Maimoon Beevi, police conducted a search and found M Pugazhendhi, 22, in possession of Nitrovet tablets, sodium chloride and syringes. Investigation revealed that Pugazhendhi was selling drugs to minor boys.Police arrested him and booked him under sections of Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Juvenile Justice Act. He was produced in court and remanded in judicial custody. Pugazhendhi has two more cases pending against him in the Gandhi Market and Palakkarai police stations.
