THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former accountant general James K Joseph and retired district judge T K Raman were among six prominent persons who joined the BJP in Kerala on Tuesday.
BJP president Venkaiah Naidu, who welcomed the new entrants at a function here, said the party in the state sought to expand its support base by attracting prominent personalities before the Lok Sabha polls.
Others who joined the party were T T Kripananda Singh, retired chief engineer, Brig (rtd) Lakshman Vijayan, Col (rtd) R V Nair and Prof Hamsa Devi, former principal of the University College, Thiruvananthapuram.
Union minister O Rajagopal and BJP state president P S Sreedharan Pillai were also present.
