Shillong: International Human Rights Day was observed at the State Convention Centre here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, CM Conrad Sangma said, “Human rights is an important issue as it recognises and protects the dignity of people. As politicians, we are striving to make a positive impact on the lives of people in whatever way we can.” TNN
