CHATRA: A joint team of Chatra and Hazaribag police arrested six persons for demolishing electrical towers and stealing high tension wire in Latehar.
Police on Monday said on October 20, two towers were demolished at Manar village of Katkamsandi block in Hazaribag and thieves decamped with high tension wires.
An FIR was lodged against unidentified people under various sections of the IPC and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.

On November 9, a similar incident occurred at Angada village in Shila. Thieves demolished four towers, but failed to steal the wires. An FIR was lodged against unidentified persons.
A joint team of Katkamsandi (Hazaribag) and Shila picket police (Chatra) was formed. The team led by the officer in-charge of Katkamsandi police station, Anand Azad, and Shila picket in-charge Sushil Tuddu raided Chandwa and Latehar.
The arrested accused are Kedar Ganjhu, Polikar Gudia, Ajay Saw, Vijay Singh, Rasid Alam and Mohammad Irshad alias Sonu. Cutters, high tension wires and mobile phones were recovered from them.
