Pvt bank staff shot at in Dumka

Dumka: A 30-year-old private bank employee was shot at by two unknown assailants late on Thursday near Jharkhand More under Saraiyahat police station in Dumka district. The victim, identified as Umesh Kumar Yadav of Karudih village under Saraiyahat police station limits, suffered a critical gunshot injury in his waist and was referred to a private hospital in Deoghar. The incident took place when Umesh was returning home from Hasdiha on his bike. He was chased by unknown bike-borne miscreants near an orchard. "The miscreants were two in number. They fired a shot at me from behind before escaping," Umesh said. The officer in-charge of Saraiyahat police station, Rajendra Yadav, on Friday said that attempts were made to identify the assailants.
