Hazaribag Road Accident: Man Dies Taking Wife to Exam, Wife Critically Injured

Hazaribag: A 26-year-old man died in a road accident on Thursday while taking his wife to an examination centre. His wife sustained critical injuries and has been referred to Rims, Ranchi.The deceased was identified as Arun Kumar. Police said Arun was taking his wife on his bike to college for her graduation examination when a speeding vehicle coming from the Bagodar side hit them near BDJJ Inter College. The impact threw the couple onto the road, leaving both severely injured.Locals rushed them to Sadar Hospital, Hazaribag, where Arun succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Doctors later referred his wife to Rims after her condition deteriorated.Arun got married in July 2025. Daru police station OC Mohammad Iqbal Hussain said, “The body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. Efforts are on to identify the vehicle which hit the bike.”
