SINDRI: The SindriBirsaSamittee has threatened to launch indefinite road blockade from February 25 if police fail to arrest those responsible for vandalizing the bust of BirsaMunda.
Addressing a meeting organised at the samittee ground here on Sunday, different speakers said Birsa Munda not only fought with the British but also fought for the honour and dignity of the tribal people and he is worshiped like god by the tribal community.

"Culprits responsible for vandalizing the bust of Birsa has committed crime against the nation and should be booked for treason," a speaker said.
"We don't want to disturb peace and tranquillity in the society but at the same time we are not going to tolerate it," said another speaker threatening that if police failed to arrest the culprits within a week, they would be forced to take direct action for which the administration would be solely responsible.
Former Sindri MLA Ananad Mahto, Prabhunath Singh, Ajanta Jha, Dinesh Singh, Bablu Mahto, Sita Devi, Sudhir Mahto, Ravishwar Marandi, Binod Marandi, N P Sahu, Santosh Mahto, Sohan Soren, Deven Mandal, Seva Singh, Mangal Horo, Subhash Mandal were among others who addressed the meeting presided over.
