RAJKOT: The Saurashtra zone convenor of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) on Thursday announced plans for the next phase of agitation in the region.
While addressing media persons, Lalit Vasoya, one of the conveners of PAAS, said that they will hold three protest programmes in the coming days. "We will call all Patidar MLAs and MPs in Saurashtra and seek their stand on our demand for reservation under OBC category.

We will record the conversation and make their stand public. If they say no, we will continue to call them and keep their mobile phones busy," Vasoya said.
"Moreover, on September 25, exactly one month after the Kranti Rally in Ahmedabad, we will observe blackout across Saurashta where all Patidar households in the region will switch off lights in their homes from 9pm to 9.30pm," he added. Patidars will also organize charitable programme on September 26 by giving fodder to cows among others.
Vasoya also warned that they will launch a major stir if they do not receive positive signs from the minister of state for home Rajnikanth Patel. The Patels have given the government 10 days to fulfill their demands of punishing those policemen who are accused of atrocity on Patels.
Meanwhile, Patidars in villages and cities across Saurashtra started putting up banners warning politicians from seeking votes.
