RAIPUR: Maoists abducted a physically challenged youth and killed him on Monday evening in Bijapur district in the tribal Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.
This incident occurred six days after a deadly attack by Maoists in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh on April 26, which killed ten District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel and a driver on the spot.
Police discovered the body of the victim, Hadma Avlam, 28, a resident of Tarrem village in Bijapur district, on Tuesday morning.

The victim and five or six of his friends had gone to a nearby forest on a tractor to collect wood for house construction.
While they were returning on Monday night around 8pm, Maoists abducted the man and hacked him to death with an axe.
His friends managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
The victim appears to be blind in one eye, according to Bijapur ASP Chandrakant Gavarna.
The ASP stated that Hadma's body was discovered in a field in Turenar locality under Tarrem police station limits on Tuesday morning.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem and have registered a case in connection with the incident, the ASP added.
Six days ago, on April 26, Maoists triggered a powerful IED blast on the Aranpur road in Dantewada while ten DRG jawans were returning from a counter-insurgency operation in a vehicle.
The Maoists blew up the vehicle, resulting in the deaths of ten jawans and a driver.
