Amid Covid cases rising in Delhi and other states, Chhattisgarh health department has sounded an alert and is making arrangements for prevention of spread of new covid variant XE in the state.

RAIPUR: Amid Covid cases rising in Delhi and other states, Chhattisgarh health department has sounded an alert and is making arrangements for prevention of spread of new covid variant XE in the state.
The directorate of health services has sent letters to all districts asking them to make all necessary arrangements to face any situation arising out of possible spread of new corona variant.

In state capital, chief health and medical officer (CMHO) Dr Meera Baghel said Covid tests have been made mandatory for the patients suffering from cold, fever, body pain etc. If any covid case is identified, the patients will be treated and taken care as before. Preparations are being made for this. Any patient found with symptoms of corona infection, will have to take antigen and RPR test, she added.
A control team has been assigned for the smooth work for controlling Covid cases.
