Active cases fall below 1,000 in CG

Raipur: On Sunday when 24 persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Chhattisgarh, active cases dropped below 1,000. There were 879 active cases in the state.
One death were reporterd on Sunday after a 30-year-old resident of Baloda Bazar district, who was suffering from multiple ailments including diabetes, immunocompromised conditions including HIV/TB malignancy, died.He was admitted to a private hospital on May 2 and was kept under medical surveillance but his health kept worsening. The death is said to be an incidental case which means that the patient tested positive for the virus after being hospitalized for other reasons, said state epidemic controller Dr. Subhash Mishra.
So far, the State has reported 11,86,823 covid cases. TNN
