RAJNANDGAON: A day after Rajnadgaon was unlocked after three months, 35 policemen tested Covid positive in Rajnandgaon’s Police Training School on Thursday.
The 35 policemen were tested positive during regular screening in PTS campus.
The district was unlocked on Wednesday after three months. Rajnandgaon consists of 66 active cases in and the cumulative tally stands at 55932.

While 512 succumbed to the viral infection.
So far 7,19,884 people have been vaccinated in the district.
District collector Taran Prakash Sinha directed PTS to declare as containment zone and took a high-level emergency meeting with administrative officials in view of the seriousness of the matter.
Sinha told that these Jawans hailed from Sukma, Kondagaon and Kabirdhamand. All of them are under surveillance and contact tracing has been initiated by a team of health officials. Collector Sinha has appealed to the citizens to take precautions keeping in mind the possibility of third wave of Corona.
The meeting was attended by district Panchayat CEO Shri Lokesh Chandrakar, Municipal Commissioner Ashutosh Chaturvedi, additional superintendent of police Irfan Khan, joint collector Virendra Singh, chief medical and health officer Dr Mithlesh Chaudhary.
