RAJNANDGAON: A 14-year-old girl allegedly murdered her elder brother using an axe in Amlidihkala village, located within the jurisdiction of Chhuikhadan police station in Chhattisgarh's Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district. The police reported that the incident occurred on Friday, and the teenager has been taken into custody.
According to the girl's statement to the police, she and her 18-year-old brother were alone at home when the incident took place, as the rest of their family members had gone out for work.

The brother had reprimanded her for talking to boys on her mobile phone and instructed her to stop using the device.
Enraged by her brother's scolding, the girl allegedly struck him on the throat with an axe while he was asleep, resulting in his immediate death. Following the incident, the girl took a bath and washed the blood stains from her clothes before informing the neighbors that her brother had been killed.
Upon being notified by the villagers, a police team arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident. During the questioning, the girl confessed to having committed the crime, as stated in the police statement.
The authorities have registered a case, and further investigation is currently underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
