Puducherry assembly budget session to commence on March 10

PUDUCHERRY: The budget session of the Union territory of Puducherry would commence on March 10 with the customary address of the lieutenant governor, said speaker of the legislative assembly R Selvam on Tuesday. Speaking to reporters, Selvam said lieutenant governor K Kailashnathan would address the House at 9.30am on March 10. Chief minister N Rangasamy, who holds the portfolio of finance, will present the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26. The assembly last convened on Feb 12 and passed the supplementary demands for grants for the fiscal year 2024-25.
