Mahe students secure top 3 spots in Centac merit list

Chief minister V Narayanasamy released the merit list of students for admission into various professional colleges in the territory on June 20.

Puducherry: The students from Mahe region secured the top three ranks in the merit list prepared by the centralized admission committee for admission into biology based degree courses (including MBBS and BDS) for the academic year 2016-17 in the Union territory of Puducherry. Chief minister V Narayanasamy released the merit list of students for admission into various professional colleges in the territory on June 20.

Sneha Prakash, K Gopika and Aiswaraya M Prasad from Mahe region secured the top three positions in biology based courses while C Rakesh from Puducherry, Gopika from Mahe and S Paveen Raj from Puducherry finished among the top three position in B Tech degree course.
K T Theertha of Mahe, R Nandini from Yanam and V M Vaishnav from Mahe secured first three ranks in B Pharm degree courses while R Keerthana of Puducherry, S Samyuktha fron Puducherry and Devika Premanand of Mahe finished first, second and third respectively in BALLB (five years integrated degree course).
Centac received 10,080 applications from candidates including 6,827 from Puducherry for admissions into medical, ayurvedha, dental, veterinary, physiotherapy, nursing, lab technician, engineering, pharmacy and law degree programmes .
