PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry government has declared a
holiday on November 13, the day after
Diwali, for all government offices, including all public sector undertakings, and educational institutions, including professional colleges, in all regions.
In a notification, undersecretary (home) M V Hiran said lieutenant governor Tamilisai Soundararajan declared that November 13 would be a holiday and November 18 (Saturday) would be a compensatory working day in lieu of the holiday on Monday.
"This leave is not covered under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881," said Hiran in the notification.
The
Tamil Nadu government has also
declared a public holiday on November 13.
