Ravi Shankar Prasad will file his nomination papers for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections before noon on Monday.
BJP has selected Prasad as its Rajya Sabha nominee from the state for a record fourth time.
Before submitting his nomination papers to state assembly secretary Ram Shreshtha Rai, Prasad will visit the state BJP headquarters where he will be welcomed by party’s state president Nitynand Rai and others.
Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, road construction department minister Nand Kishore Yadav, health minister Mangal Pandey and senior BJP legislators will accompany Prasad at the time of filing of nomination papers, state BJP media incharge Ashok Bhatt said. TNN
