Patna: Residents will have to wait for another month for winter conditions to set in as India Meteorological Department has predicted “normal to above normal” temperature in November in Bihar.
Deciphering the expected winter conditions in Bihar, Ashish Kumar Singh at Patna Meteorological Centre told TOI on Wednesday: “Normal to above normal temperature conditions are expected in the state in November, except at a few places in north-eastern districts, where slightly lower temperature readings maybe registered.”
As per climatological information of weather parameter readings for the period of 1901-2020, the mean minimum temperature in Patna for November is 15.4 degrees C, while the corresponding maximum is 29.1 degrees C.

On Wednesday, the Patna Meteorological Centre predicted the minimum temperature in the range of 18-20 degrees C at most places in the state, while the maximum is likely to be in the range of 30-32 degrees C. “No significant change is expected in temperature levels over the next five days as the wind direction is expected to change from westerly to warm easterly on Thursday,” Singh said, adding that any significant drop in temperature may occur only with a strong western disturbance coming from Kashmir region.
