Liquor mafia attack officials, cops in Bihar

PATNA: In the past 24 hours, excise department officials and police teams enforcing prohibition in “dry” Bihar were attacked in three incidents in Muzaffarpur and East Champaran districts. Members of an excise department team were thrashed in a village in Muzaffarpur during a raid on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, residents of Raghunathpur village in East Champaran attacked a police team when it caught the kingpin of a gang involved in country liquor trade from Nepal.On Wednesday, excise officials and cops were attacked in Muzaffarpur. Three people were arrested.
