PATNA: Cash-strapped Go First airline on Wednesday cancelled all its flights till May 19 citing operational reasons, thereby further increasing troubles for harried passengers. The airline has also stopped bookings of all flights indefinitely.
Ratnesh Prakash, a flyer who had booked ticket from Patna to Delhi for May 13, said he had been asking the executives of the airline to inform whether the flight will be cancelled further, but there was no reply.
"Now, all of a sudden, they have again cancelled the flights. They should have at least informed the passengers in advance," he said.
Aditya Raj, another passenger, said, "I have urgent business in Bengaluru, but the airline has cancelled the flight. The airfare in other airlines is pretty high for the same date. I had bought the Go First ticket at a minimal price about three weeks ago."
The airline operates three direct flights from the Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna for Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. These flights have remained cancelled since May 3. The Go First had notified the passengers that full refund will be issued to those who have already booked their tickets.
