He said that Shubhan’s son Shabdul Ansari had fled with a girl Shahida Khatoon on March 8, 2012.
“The girl’s family members had lodged an FIR against Shabdul with the Bathnaha police station in the district for abduction and the trial was ongoing before the fast track court-II in the district,” the DSP said.
He said Tiwary, who became AAP five years back, had demanded the bribe to help the Ansari’s son during the trail who is prime accused in the case. “The girl with whom the youth had fled, now already has two children. Subhan had asked for help from Tiwary for which he had initially demanded Rs 50,000 but the final deal was struck on Rs 21000,” the DSP said adding that the next hearing in the case was scheduled to take place on December 23 this year.
The DSP said that the prosecutor had told Subhan that he would get the case completely inclined in his son’s favour.
"Subhan lodged a complaint with the vigilance investigation bureau on December 14 following which a trap team was formed to nab the prosecutor," the DSP said.
