Two crude bombs were recovered from the civil court premises at Biharsharif, the district headquarters of Nalanda district, on Monday. This caused sensation and disrupted the working of the court for a while.

PATNA: Two crude bombs were recovered from the civil court premises at Biharsharif, the district headquarters of Nalanda district, on Monday. This caused sensation and disrupted the working of the court for a while.
DGP Neelmani, who sought details of the incident from the Nalanda SP, told TOI that it happened when a notorious criminal, Munna Singh, was brought from jail for production before the court in connection with a case.

Some witnesses, who came from Deoghar, were to appear against him in the court of additional district and session judge.
Neelmani said that suddenly Singh started shouting that he could be killed on the court premises and there could be some bombs planted there to eliminate him. He was raising accusing finger at the witnesses.
“It was at his shouting that the police swung into action and started searching for any explosive. The police laid their hands on two crude bombs on the premises. But it appears the bombs had been planted at the behest of Munna Singh to unleash sensation and terror and frighten the witnesses. The police have registered a case on the statement of the police constable escorting Singh,” said the DGP.
Police sources in Nalanda said that the bomb was recovered from near the office of the additional district and sessions judge (V). Security personnel kept the bomb in a bucket of water and bomb disposal squad was called in to defuse it, sources said.
