Patna: 30-year-old found dead at Naubatpur

PATNA: A 30-year-old youth was found dead in Pitwas village under Naubatpur police station area in the wee hours of Friday.
SHO Rafiq-ur-Rahman said the deceased has been identified as Sashi Ranjan of the same village. He, along with his father, was into farming. Rahman said prima facie it appeared that he was strangled. However, the postmortem report was awaited and his viscera has been preserved for further investigation.He further said the family till Friday evening had not lodged any FIR.
On the other hand, excise department constable Ashutosh Kumar could not be traced till Friday. He has been missing since November 1 after he left home under Phulwarisharif police station area, SHO Safir Alam said.
Ashutosh’s family told a TV news channel that he had left home around 11am and once called from his cellphone for a few seconds. Later his cellphone was switched off.
