New judge on HC bench to hear Noida land cases

ALLAHABAD: Justice S U Khan of the Allahabad High Court has been nominated as a member of the three-judge bench, specially constituted to hear land acquisition cases of Noida , Greater Noida and Noida Extension areas in Gautam Budh Nagar.
His nomination comes after a judge on the bench, Justice R K Agarwal, rescued himself from the case on Wednesday and the matter was referred to the Chief Justice of the high court for constituting a new bench.
Now, Justice Ashok Bhushan will head the larger bench along with Justice Khan and Justice V K Shukla as its members. Hearing into scores of petitions filed against land acquisition was deferred on Wednesday when Justice Agarwal recused himself from the case.
