CCTVs, crash barriers on Yamuna expressway

NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has ordered the Jaypee concessionaire to install 30 CCTV cameras on the expressway as the number of over-speeding vehicles has increased drastically in the last six years.
The Authority has also directed that crash barriers be installed on the central verge of the Greater Noida-Agra stretch of the Expressway so that accidents can be avoided.The decision was following the gruesome accident that took place on Sunday which killed two passengers travelling in a UP Roadways bus after it fell off the Expressway from a height of 20 feet.
