The Panvel city police have launched a manhunt for a 32-year-old tempo driver, Hansraj Babulal Gajra (32) for allegedly killing his wife by slitting her throat and grievously injuring his nine-year-old son.

NAVI MUMBAI: The Panvel city police have launched a manhunt for a 32-year-old tempo driver, Hansraj Babulal Gajra (32) for allegedly killing his wife by slitting her throat and grievously injuring his nine-year-old son. A case under Section 302 and 307 of the IPC has been registered at Panvel city police station.
According to senior inspector Datta Patil, the deceased has been identified as Dharmishta Hansraj Gajra (28), and her injured son as Rushabh.

The accused worked as a driver and had a drinking habit. The woman’s relatives claimed that he suspected his wife’s character and regularly beat her under the influence of alcohol.
On September 19 around 7.30am, in a fit of rage, he slit her throat with a blade cutter multiple times, due to which her esophagus got ruptured, causing her death. He even slit his son’s throat.
