NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old man has been taken into custody by the Mumbai police after he and his 45-year-old father allegedly murdered his sister's 18-year-old boyfriend in Navi Mumbai township, Maharashtra, as reported by officials on Monday.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when the accused's sister invited the victim, who resided in Devichapada, Panvel, to her home in the same locality.

Subsequently, the accused arrived at the house and knocked on the door, but his sister did not respond. He then forcibly entered the house and discovered his sister and her boyfriend inside.
The accused proceeded to call his father, and together they allegedly assaulted the victim with a sickle and a spade, resulting in his death.
Upon receiving notification, the police promptly arrived at the scene and transported the body to a government hospital for an autopsy.
The girl's brother has been detained, and a case has been registered against both him and his father under Indian Penal Code sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention), as stated by the official from Taloja police station.
The investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
