7 yrs on, murder accused held from UP

NAVI MUMBAI: The Panvel city police have arrested a murder accused, absconding after committing the crime seven years ago. His whereabouts were traced to his hometown, Hallia, in Mirzapur district of UP, where he was living at his in-laws’ house.
PSI Abhay Singh Shinde said that the arrested murder accused has been identified as Nagina Kol, now aged 32 years.The murder took place in March 2016 following a drunken brawl during Holi celebrations in Kundewahal village of Panvel taluka.
The brawl followed heated arguments over a land dispute in their native place. Nagina’s brother Jagdish Kol was assaulted by the murder victim Dharmaprasad Kol (25). Nagina and Jagdish, in retaliation, fatally assaulted Dharmaprasad. While Jagdish was arrested, Nagina managed to escape.
