Nagpur: Vivek Jugade,
Maharashtra State General Secretary of Sahakar Bharati, has been appointed to the State Cooperative Policy High-Level Committee formed to draft Maharashtra's new cooperative policy, modelled on the Centre's framework. The committee operates under the guidance of Union home and cooperation minister Amit Shah and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The panel, headed by state cooperation minister Babasaheb Patil, includes top officials and cooperative experts from across Maharashtra. It aims to study existing laws, recommend reforms, and address challenges facing the cooperative sector in light of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025.
Jugade, who also heads Vivekanand Nagari Cooperative Society and serves as director of the Teachers' Cooperative Bank, received widespread congratulations. His inclusion is seen as a recognition of his decades-long contribution and leadership in the cooperative movement.
