YAVATMAL: District president of Maharashtra Bhrashtachar Nirmulan Samiti Shreedhar Ade, who has launched an indefinite hunger strike, was warned of dire consequences in the midnight of Saturday by four unidentified persons who claimed to be representatives of mediapersons.
In a complaint to Wadgaon Road police station lodged on Sunday, Ade said that four persons, including a woman in the age group of 20-45 years, came to the pandal near the ZP administrative building where he is on fast and started asking why he launched an agitation against the chief accounts and finance officer Deepak Kedar as information sought under the RTI Act was personal and could not be dispensed with.

They made irrelevant queries but refused to disclose their identity and the names of the dailies and channels they represent. Ade's colleague Akash Kadam and police constable Jadhav were present at the time of the incident.
Ade said that they videographed the pandal and skipped from the scene on two motorbikes in opposite directions. In the complaint, Ade urged the police to give him protection.
Ade has launched fast unto death on July 30 to seek a probe into the bogus medical certificate for disability presented by two employees Manohar Chaudhari and Manoj Kadu of Yavatmal Panchayat Samiti. He said they had not only joined the service but also availed various facilities and concessions provided to the disabled employees on the strength of the bogus medical certificates.
