Grand Festivities To Mark Paschim Nagariya Bengali Cultural Association’s 12th Durga Puja

Nagpur: The Paschim Nagariya Bengali Cultural Association (PNBCA) is all set to celebrate its 12th year of Shree Shree Durga Puja at the Ladies Club Lawn, Civil Lines, Nagpur, from September 28 to October 2, 2025. Over the years, this Puja has emerged as one of the most vibrant cultural and spiritual gatherings in the city, drawing devotees and citizens from diverse backgrounds.PNBCA began its journey with Durga Puja in 2014 with the aim of spreading brotherhood and bringing together like-minded people. The first Puja was held at IWWA Hall, Shankar Nagar, and was marked by devotion and commitment. With time, the celebration grew in popularity, attracting many who became emotionally connected through its cultural programmes and the organisers' unwavering dedication. The association's leaders emphasise that their initiative goes beyond festivities, with future plans focused on supporting and educating underprivileged girl children.This year's festivities will commence on Maha Shashti, September 28, with the formal inauguration at 7.15pm in the presence of PNBCA president Abhik Palit, general secretary Somshubhra Sarkar, treasurer Gautam Sanyal, and other committee members. The evening will feature ‘Swarnali Sandhya', a musical presentation by members of the association.Daily rituals, including puja, pushpanjali, and prasad distribution, will take place from 11am to 1pm, followed by mahaprasad between 1pm and 3pm on September 28, 29, 30, and October 1. Sandhya Arati will be performed from 7pm to 8pm.Cultural highlights include dance performances on Maha Saptami (September 29), a drama on Maha Ashtami (September 30), and ‘A Musical Tribute to Salil Chowdhury' with contemporary songs on Maha Nabami (October 1). The celebration will conclude on Dussehra (October 2) with the visarjan of Maa Durga at 5pm.The organising committee has extended a warm invitation to all citizens to join the festivities in large numbers and make the celebration a grand success.
