Music fests from July 17

MYSORE: Here's a musical treat for Mysoreans. Swaramurthy V N Rao Memorial Trust, Bangalore, in association with Sangeetha Sabhas of Mysore will organize three-day music fests from July 17.
Veena artist Rajalakshmi Tirunarayanan will receive the Veene Sheshanna Memorial Award while Padmabhushan TN Seshagopalan will be conferred with the Swaramurthy VN Rao Memorial Award.
Swaramurthy VN Rao Memorial Trust chairman V Subramanya told reporters on Monday the awards carry a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each. Dr Veerendra Heggade of Dharmasthala will present the Veena Seshanna Memorial Award at Sangeetha Kalanidhi K Vasudevachar Bhavana.
Padmabhushana TN Seshagopalan will perform on July 18 and Padmashri Sudha Raghunathan on July 19.
