A 23-year-old youth was murdered in Ghatkopar (W) early on Tuesday following a fallout with the accused at Rajawadi hospital on Monday.

MUMBAI: A 23-year-old youth was murdered in Ghatkopar (W) early on Tuesday following a fallout with the accused at Rajawadi hospital on Monday. The Ghatkopar have arrested five people.
On Monday, the deceased, Ganesh Dundhav, took two victims of a wall collapse in Asalpha village to the hospital.
"Siblings Sandhya (15) and Savita Panigrahi (10) were injured when a wall collapsed while they were watching television at a neighbour's shanty around 7.20pm.

Dundhav, who knew the girls, and other locals took the two girls to Rajawadi hospital. While Sandhya succumbed to the injuries, Savita is recuperating," said a police official.
At the hospital, Dundhav had an altercation with the accused, one of them being Vinod Shah (32). The police had to intervene to stop the fight at the hospital. Dundhav then filed a non-cognizable offence against the accused.
"Shah has a crime record. He gathered his associates and plotted revenge. Around 1am on Tuesday, the assailants accosted Dhundhav and his friend, Umesh Gaikwad, who were on a bike, at Dasar compound. The accused stabbed Dhundhav and Gaikwad on their stomachs, chests and backs with knives. They also vandalized the victim's bike," said an official said. Gaikwad has been hospitalized.
The police have arrested Vinod Shah, Deepak Shah, Samadhan Kate, Bala Gangurde and
Vishal Tawre on murder charges.

Dundhav knew the girls and rushed to the hospital along with his associates to help them," said a police official. But at the hospital, Dundhav had a fight with the assailants.
The altercation ended only with the intervention of the police. Dundhav filed a non-cognizable offence against the assailants, the prime accused being 32-year-old Vinod Shah.
"Vinod has a past crime record. He swore revenge and gathered his associates to plot an attack. Around 1 am on Tuesday, the assailants accosted Dhundhav and his friend, Umesh Gaikwad, at Dasar compound while the duo was on a bike. They slashed Dhundhav and Gaikwad on the stomach, chest and back with knives, besides damaging their bike," an official said. Gaikwad has been hospitalized.
The Ghatkopar police have arrested Vinod, Deepak Shah, Samadhan Kate, Bala Gangurde and Vishal Tawre on murder charges.
