Two arrested for assaulting teacher

MUMBAI: Two men were arrested by the Malwani police on Monday for assaulting and threatening a tuition teacher.
The accused, Hafiz Khan (47), and his son, Hasib (19), suspected that the teacher, Arshad Siddiqui, had a relationship with Hafiz’s daughter a few years ago.
Last week, the duo had been booked in a similar case where they had assaulted another youth, Mizail Sayyad, for getting friendly with Hafiz’s daughter.Siddiqui teaches at a coaching class run by Malwani resident Simi Nath. On Sunday, Siddiqui lodged a complaint with the Malwani police. He said Hasib had summoned
him home and later assaulted him.
