MUMBAI: Imams in the city have been asked to condemn the “un-Islamic” activities of jihadist organization ISIS in their Friday sermons.
Addressing a meet on Thursday, organized by Pir Makhdoom Saheb Charitable Trust, which manages the Mahim Dargah, senior cleric Maulana Moin Miya appealed to the imams to not just condemn the brutalities being perpetrated by the ISIS jihadists but also request Muslim youths not to get attracted by the their propaganda.

The meet saw leaders of different faiths share the stage and categorically condemn the terror group, which masterminded the November 13 Paris attacks. “ISIS is not Islamic voice. It is anti-Islamic, inhuman. Terrorism has no religion,” said M Suhail Khandwani, managing trustee, Pir Makhdoom Saheb Charititable Trust and trustee, Haji Ali Dargah Trust. Khandwani added that soon Mahim Dargah will join hands with Siddhivinayak Temple, Mahim Church and a gurudwara to hold a big multi-faith conference against terrorism.
