Balasaheb Thorat congratulates nephew Satyajeet Tambe on Nashik division graduate council election win

Congress legislature party leader and former revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat on Sunday congratulated his nephew Satyajeet Tambe for his massive victory in Nashik division graduate council elections. An independent candidate, Tambe defeated MVA nominee Shubhangi Patil by a huge margin. It was for the first time since the declaration of results, Thorat has reacted over the victory and current political situation.

MUMBAI: Congress legislature party leader and former revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat on Sunday congratulated his nephew Satyajeet Tambe for his massive victory in Nashik division graduate council elections. An independent candidate, Tambe defeated MVA nominee Shubhangi Patil by a huge margin. It was for the first time since the declaration of results, Thorat has reacted over the victory and current political situation.

"It was huge victory for Satyajeet, I congratulate him. During the entire polling process, there were huge political activities within the Congress. I am disturbed over it, I have submitted my opinion on the political situation to the Congress high command,'' Thorat said in a video message released on his birthday.
Thorat said after the change of political guard in the state, politics of revenge has begun in Sangamner tehil, Congress activists are being harassed, even leading industrialists too are being harassed. "We were in power, but it was for the first time the area is witnessing politics of revenge. BJP is making all- out efforts to create misunderstanding and confusion,'' Thorat said.
Soon after the elections to the Legislative Council were declared, all eyes were on the Nashik division constituency, since while Sudhir Tambe was the sitting legislator, his son Satyajeet Tambe too was vying for nomination. Sudhir Tambe is the brother-in-law of Thorat.
On the last day of filing nomination, the father-son due reached the election office, however, Sudhir Tambe did not submit the nomination papers, instead Satyajeet filed the documents as an independent candidate. Following which, the AICC suspended the father-son duo.
