Mangaluru, Belagavi to have new city police chiefs on election eve

MANGALURU: Mangaluru and Belagavi will have new city police chiefs in Vipul Kumar and M Chandra Sekhar respectively. They will replace T R Suresh and D C Rajappa, the incumbents. While Rajappa, an IPS officer at level of DIGP rank has been posted as DIGP, Railways, Bengaluru, Suresh, also a DIGP has not been given any posting, as of now. Chandra Sekhar is currently IGP (ACB), Bengaluru and Vipul, director, Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru.
The state government in its order dated April 16 has also posted N Shivakumar, ADGP awaiting posting as ADGP (public grievances and human rights) in place of K Ramachandra Rao, who has been posted as ADGP, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement. C Vamsi Krisha, SP (ACB), Eastern Range, Davangere has been posted as Bagalkote district police chief, replacing C B Ryshyanth. Even Ryshyanth is yet to be given a posting and attached to police HQ.
In the IAS transfers effected, Naveen Raj Singh, MD, Mysore Minerals Ltd, Bengaluru has been posted as commissioner of transport and road safety, Bengaluru in the existing vacancy. Munish Moudgil, commissioner, survey, settlement and land records, Bengaluru will now be commissioner for excise. Darpan Jain, commissioner for industrial development and director of industries has been posted as deputy commissioner of Mysuru.
R Vishal, director of municipal administration has been transferred as DC of Tumakuru in place of Mohan Raj K P. Anirudh Sharma, mission director, National Rural Livelihood Mission has been posted as deputy commissioner and district election officer of Bidar. Pommala Sunil Kumar, joint director (reforms), Karnataka Municipal Data Society has been posted as joint commissioner, Mahadevapura zone and additional district election officer of BBMP.
Nitesh Patil, additional commissioner, commercial taxes (enforcement) has been posted as joint commissioner, south zone and ADEO, BBMP in place of Viswanath. Nalini Atul, GM (R and R LAQ), upper Krishna Project, Bagalkote has been posted as additional commissioner (administration), BBMP and ADEO, BBMP (Central) in place of M V Savitri, who with Vasanthi Aaar, JC, Mahadevapura zone have not been given any immediate posting.
