3 arrested for rowdy's murder

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada poli ce have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of Peter M J of Belthangady. Police said MA Thomas, 45 and Anthony M G, 45, residents of Thotadtady and Saju Thomas, 35, of Neriya village and others trashed Peter, 38, a resident of Thotadtady after he was caught red-handed with stolen bags of arecanuts on February 15.
Peter, a rowdy sheeter who was wanted in several cases of theft, died before police could take him to a hospital.
The villagers tied him to a tree and assaulted him. He, later, sustained to the injuries. Belthangady police are investigating the case and are on the lookout for another person.
