Ludhiana: A fire broke out at a shop on Ferozepur Road on Saturday morning. The shop was being run from the basement of a commercial building.
Leading fireman Rajan Kumar said, “We received a call around 8.50am. Smoke had filled the shop. Our main concern was to remove chemicals kept inside as those could have led to a blast. The blaze was brought under control in an hour.”
Sub-fire officer Navrang Singh said, “The basement can have only parking that too after taking all precautions.
But here, most of the commercial complexes have shops there.”
