Two drug peddlers held
The district police on Monday arrested two persons and recovered from them half-kg brown sugar. Identified as Deepak Pandey and Roshan, the two were residents of Ismailanj.
Their arrest was made on a tip-off near Faridinagar Gate in Ghazipur police circle. During interrogation, it came to light that Deepak was a student of BA second year, Lucknow University, while Roshan owned an electrical appliances shop in Ismailganj.
The two were nabbed in Ghazipur police circle. They confessed to having brought drugs from Barabanki. It also came to light that the two used to get drugs from one Arman and then supply the same to a man called Khalid Mohammad. A case was lodged under the NDPS Act.
