Lucknow: During his day-long visit to
Haryana on Monday, Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at Baba Mukut Nath Siddha temple and paid homage to the sacred site of the Nath sect.
He also performed ritualistic prayers at Mahant Balak Nath temple and expressed his devotion before the samadhis of revered saints. A govt spokesperson said that the CM was present there as the Mahant of the Gorakhnath temple and follower of the Nath sect.
Earlier, he attended the Aathman, Batis Dhuni and Shankhadhal Bhandara programmes at Dera Siddha Baba Garibnath Math in Pehowa, Kurukshetra, where he also met Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini.
Yogi Adityanath said that the double-engine BJP govt was committed to ensuring the presence of esteemed saints at the 2025 Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and to safeguarding every sacred site connected to Sanatan Dharma, Siddhas, Saints and Avtaar Purush. "Preserving our heritage is essential to realising a bright future," he said.
