LUCKNOW: On the first day of the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (USEB), an impersonator was caught giving the class 10 Hindi paper at the Veerangna Uda Devi Rajkiya Balika Inter College in Maal on Thursday.
Interestingly, the impersonator is a class 9 student. The student was arrested based on the FIR lodged by the school principal and sent to juvenile home.
The class 10 and 12 examinations of
UP Board were held at 126 centres in Lucknow in two shifts from 8am to 11am and from 2pm to 5pm.
“In the morning shift of the class 10, invigilators Prashant Yadav and Nisha Pal caught the student as he looked different from the photo on the admit card. The two invigilators asked him to give another identity proof so that they can cross-check. On repeated questioning the student confessed that he was writing the exam on behalf of his senior,” a Board official said.
He said the matter was reported to principal Manisha Dwivedi who called up the police and got him arrested.
