30-year-old on bike run over, dies

LUCKNOW: A 30-year-old man was crushed to death by an unidentified vehicle in Gomtinagar on Thursday. According to the police, Durgesh Kumar (30), a resident of Kalipaschim under South City area was going on his motorcycle to his office. As he reached Vikas Khand, an unidentified vehicle knocked him down and fled.
Gomtinagar police station house officer S K Dubey said Durgesh was taken to a private hospital by the onlookers where he was declared brought dead.
He was identified by the documents found in his pocket. He was employed as an engineer in a private firm. He has left behind his wife and two children.
The body was sent for postmortem. The police said an investigation is underway to identify the vehicle that rammed Durgesh's bike.
