Left front stages agitation outside SEC office
KOLKATA: Left Front chairman Biman Bose said on Saturday that they will boycott counting for which repoll was held at 11 booths on Friday. The repolling was held for four wards.
Bose said that the state election commission was acting in an illegal manner and for that the LF held an agitation in front of the SEC. Even the LF supporters had blocked Bandopadhyay from leaving office on Thursday, however Bandopadhyay said that he will not lodge any police complaint in this matter.
CPM leader Rabin Deb said that the police was acting in a partisan manner and was only initiating cases against the Left supporters, while police were escorting the hooligans who were involved in arson. He named two Trinamool councillors of KMC Ashutosh Das and Pabitra Biswas, as outsiders during the polls, but the police failed to act.
