KOLKATA: Flights to and fro from the NSC Bose International Airport here continued to be affected for the second day on Tuesday due to thick fog.
No flights took off from Kolkata since midnight due to poor visibility, airport sources said. (Watch)
An Allianz Air flight, CD 7705, on the Kolkata-Silchar route which took off at 5.40 am with 30 passengers on board, was diverted to Bhubaneswar.

After 9 pm last night, many planes were diverted on different routes as they could not land at the international airport, sources said.
These flights could land only after the weather cleared in the afternoon, they added.
Since midnight, 25 flights could not take off as a 50-metre thick fog enveloped the area.
Sources said normal flights could operate from 10 am if the fog lifted.
Flights on the New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bbhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai and Hyderabad routes were affected.
International flights to Dhaka and Paro did not take off, the sources added.
